DropMyWay policies
Privacy policy
In short: we use your data to run Drops, protect the service and delete files when their retention period ends.
Last updated: September 23, 2026
Information we process
We process the Drop name, optional message, selected settings and files uploaded by you or contributors. Contributors may optionally provide a visible name.
When you create an account, our authentication provider processes identity data such as your email address and connected sign-in method.
How we use it
We use this information to create and protect Drops, accept uploads, enforce storage limits, provide downloads, prevent abuse and maintain service reliability.
Storage and retention
Files are stored in object storage and Drop data in our database. A Drop is scheduled for deletion when its retention period ends. Incomplete uploads and short-lived security records may be deleted separately during routine cleanup.
The owner can also delete individual files or the entire Drop before it expires.
Service providers
DropMyWay uses hosting, database, object-storage, authentication, transactional-email, abuse-prevention and analytics providers. They process only the data needed to deliver their respective services.
We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page views. Private URLs are normalized before delivery, and we do not send Drop names, management links, email addresses, contributor names or filenames as analytics data.
For account Drops, we may obtain your email address from the authentication provider to send creation confirmations, grouped upload updates or expiry reminders. We do not keep an independent copy of that address in the Drop database.
Your choices
Do not upload content you are not authorized to share. Drop owners can delete their files and Drops using the private management link or their account. For privacy questions or deletion requests, email support@dropmyway.com.
Security
We use access controls, private management links, encrypted transport and automated abuse checks. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so keep private management links confidential.
